To start off our first blog post of 2024, Spiderking Studios would like to take a brief moment to wish all of our amazing team members and fans a very happy New Year! We sure had a fantastic beginning to 2024, and we hope you did as well! As the company embarks on a new chapter of creativity and growth in everything that we do, we’d like to remind you to take some time and embrace the promise of fresh beginnings and the opportunities that lie ahead. We can tell you that there’s lots of excitement and growth coming in the new year, and we cannot wait to share some of the exciting things coming down the pipeline!
There’s always a lot happening at the beginning of the year, so without further ado we are going to hop right into this month’s happenings and adventures! If you see anything as you’re reading that you would like to participate in or have questions about, please feel free to leave us a message on any of our social media platforms!
What Are We Doing Now?
We are so incredibly excited to share that we have officially completed all filming and we have officially begun post production on our upcoming feature film titled Killer Roommate! You may have seen the very first trailer for this project on our social media pages over the past couple of weeks, and we are very much looking forward to premiering this film in the coming months! This has been such a fun project to work on, and our sides hurt from laughing by the end of the day! This is definitely one of the funniest films we’ve shot, and we are so excited to share!
When asked about the project, actor Taylor Smart says “As we enter the new year, we definitely can't wait to share all of our new projects with everyone! The first thing on our agenda is to get Killer Roommate released to the public sometime this spring! As for everything else, I can't say much but I'm absolutely ecstatic to reveal our plans over the coming months, you can definitely expect big things from us in 2024!” Stay tuned to see Taylor in action on the big screen once again!

Now that Killer Roommate has officially wrapped filming and is well into the editing phase, we are shifting gears to focus on another feature length film, titled Pelican Soup! This particular film is going to be completely unlike anything we’ve ever done before, and we are very excited to begin pre-production on this project! Auditions will be held within the next couple of months, so if this special project is something that you are interested in auditioning for, please be sure to keep an eye on our social media platforms so that you don’t miss any important updates with this project!

You can probably tell that even during the holidays, dull moments are a rarity here at Spiderking Studios! Even during periods when we aren't actively working on a studio feature film or filming smaller projects, it’s safe to say there is always something happening around here. We love being apart of such a tight-knit community and we sincerely look forward to the many projects we will be working on outside of film and television production! Stay tuned over the coming months for opportunities for you (yes, YOU) to get involved in this wonderful community as well!

We would love to have you on our team, especially as we enter production on several new projects! If you found anything overly interesting as you read through this blog post, please do not hesitate to reach out to us and see where you can jump right in! We do have an upcoming crew opportunity in March for anyone who might be interested, but more on that will be coming up on our social media, pages in the coming weeks! The studio is almost always looking for behind-the-scenes assistance with incredibly important things such as sound, continuity, and costuming!
